About Amy

I’ve always been called to life’s most sacred thresholds—the quiet, powerful space where love, memory, and letting go converge. Long before I knew the word “doula,” I was walking this path: sitting beside loved ones, holding space for their final moments, and discovering that presence—gentle, grounded, and unwavering—is one of the most profound gifts we can offer.

Over the course of my life, I’ve cared for friends, partners, and family members through illness and transition. These experiences shaped my heart, but they also shaped my calling. When I was asked to care for a dear friend as she died, surrounded by a circle of women offering full-time presence, I knew I had found my path. I’ve walked it ever since—with grace, intention, and reverence for the stories that make each life unique.

Professionally, I bring a rich and diverse background to my role as an End-of-Life Doula. I hold a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Colorado, Denver, and spent 18 years as a COO/CFO for a firm specializing in estate planning, life insurance, and family legacy development. This experience deeply informs the way I guide clients today—offering clarity and care around decisions such as advance directives, Medical Durable Power of Attorney, Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment (MOST) forms, wills, and trusts.

I completed my End-of-Life Doula training through the Conscious Dying Institute in 2018, and hold a NEDA (National End-of-Life Doula Alliance) proficiency badge. I’m certified in Conscious Dying Coaching, Pediatric Death Care, and End-of-Life Doula care through the American Clinicians Academy on Medical Aid in Dying. I’m also an Advanced Reiki Practitioner and a certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher. I am a member of the Colorado End-of-Life Collaborative, the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA), and the National Funeral Home Alliance (NHFA).
My earlier life included owning an award-winning event planning business, and today, I bring that same level of attention and heart to planning home funerals, memorials, and celebrations of life. I also collaborate with companies and organizations to offer end-of-life coaching and planning as an employee benefit—a gift of peace and preparation for individuals and their families.

Community is the thread that runs through all that I do. I volunteer with The Denver Hospice and with Image Reborn, supporting breast cancer survivors on their healing journeys. Whether I’m accompanying a family during their final days together, coaching someone through difficult decisions, or simply sitting in quiet presence—I do this work because I believe every moment, including the ending, deserves to be met with beauty, intention, and love.
