What is an end-of-life doula?
As end-of-life doulas, we offer holistic, non-medical care for the living, the dying, and their circles of support. Our role is to guide individuals through the emotional, spiritual, and practical experiences related to death, ensuring that each day is as meaningful as possible.
We help individuals and families navigate complex decisions, advocate for wishes, and ensure the environment is peaceful and soothing. By fostering open communication and offering compassionate presence, we empower individuals to live fully and peacefully as they approach the end of their journey, while supporting their loved ones through this transformative experience.
At Amaya, we are changing how we die. As a collective of end-of-life doulas, we are united by a shared mission to transform the end-of-life experience. Our approach is centered on living with purpose, offering heart-centered care, guidance, and education.
By weaving together our collective knowledge and experiences, we strive to create a more meaningful, compassionate, and peaceful journey through both life and end-of-life —shifting fear and uncertainty into a space of connection, clarity, and closure.
End of Life
After Loss Support
That’s okay. Many people come to us unsure where to begin. Amaya Doulas gently guides you through your options and provides a deeper sense of peace during uncertain times.
Yes. “Death Doula,” “End-of-Life Doula,” and “Death Midwife” are all terms for those who offer emotional, spiritual, and practical support at life’s end.
Not at all. Many individuals seek our support to prepare for aging, explore spiritual questions, plan for end-of-life, or simply live more intentionally.
We help families navigate difficult decisions, create space for meaningful conversations, and offer respite so caregivers can also rest and be cared for.
